Dark Fire - Christine Feehan

Dark Fire is a paranormal romance set in the contemporary world where the main characters are Carpathians -- moral and just Vampires -- and their struggle to stay alive, keep their souls, and still find true love without letting too many humans find out about them. This book features Darius, bodyguard, big brother and leader of a small band of modern day troubadors, and Tempest, a mechanic that group up on the rough side of the streets. It's very sensual with some love scenes making not readable to anyone under the age of 18. This is one of those books that I can read over and over again, any time I need a break from academia and life-related stress. The world Ms. Feehan creates is believable and I have yet to be pulled from the story.
