Night Shift
I have my new paranormal author to replace Charlaine Harris, Jill Kismet is not as annoying as Sookie Stackhouse and hasn't jumped into bed with anyone like Anita Blake would(although some kinky stuff with Hellbreed Pericles is alluded to).
It's the first in the series so a lot of character intro. I have to admit this has been the best on sale Nookcolor book I've read. I've reserved the next two books in the series from the library.
