Just what I read..
Inspired by Nancy Pearl's "Book Lust Journal." I knew I would lose my book journal if I didn't keep it online.

Finding Noel by Richard Paul Evans
This one won't be the hit that Christmas Box was but then it touches on some of the darker aspects of life and growing up. Seeing the difference between what Mark and Macy view as abuse emphasized the importance of definitions when we discuss things with people.
The message in the ornament may seem far-fetched to some people but I happen to know a physician whose daughter gave up a child for adoption. As part of the process, the doctor and his wife had a porcelain doll created with a message from them inside it. I've never heard if the child ever found them.
I remember the pain of trying to find my husband's birth mother. We were so happy to find her and to find that he had a brother. We did respect her wishes though, and my husband's brother still believes that he is an only child. I do hope that someday, he finds out and comes looking for us.
